Outwood Academy Danum students have achieved fantastic results and we could not be prouder of the hard work and commitment they demonstrated throughout Year 11.
The number of students achieving grade 4, the equivalent of grade C or above in both maths and English has increased by 11% to 61% this year. Additionally 47% of students achieved the new higher standard, grade 5 or above in both maths and English. Students are also making more progress than their peers in other schools given their individual starting points. We could not be prouder!
Julie Slater, Chief Executive Principal, Secondary said, “today is the culmination of years of hard work for our students. We are delighted with the results our students have achieved this year. This is testament to the incredible efforts and the dedication of our students, their families, staff, governors and the trust board at Outwood Academy Danum. I would like to particularly praise the work of the Principal, Jayne Gaunt for her exceptional leadership in helping our students to gain these life changing results”.
Achieving grade 9 in the new maths and English qualifications is an outstanding achievement which identifies the top 2% of students. I am delighted for Bethany Maxey, Ethan Commons, Sammuel Arrowsmith, Sophie Bond and Tyler McMinn who have all achieved grade 9 in English and for Harry Wilson and Kier Taubman who have achieved grade 9 in maths. Truly exceptional!
We are incredibly proud of our students and wish them every success for their futures.
