School meals at Outwood Academy Danum are managed by our in-house catering team who provide a varied menu which changes on a regular basis. Students are offered a selection of locally sourced food and drink including full home cooked meals, freshly made sandwiches and desserts. We aim to provide a varied experience using healthy, freshly made meals to enable them to reach their full potential with their day-to-day learning at school.

We run a cashless catering system at Outwood Academy Danum. Each student has an account which parents can access online to credit with funds; purchases are made by students from this account. Parents can also view any purchases made. For those parents without internet access, cash can be brought in to school and students can manually add these to their account.

Cashless School

Thank you for your support of ParentPay/ PayPoint. As we move to becoming a cashless school, payment for educational visits will also be made through your ParentPay/PayPoint accounts. In preparation please activate your ParentPay account.

Change to payment method for Academy catering facilities

Significant changes are taking place in the way payments can be made for catering facilities. From 1st September 2018, there will be no facilities within school to accept cash payments for catering facilities. From this date, payments to your child’s catering account will only be possible through either the online secure website ‘ParentPay’, or using cash at local stores where you can see the Paypoint logo.

We strongly advise parents to begin using either of these methods as soon as possible so any problems can be sorted before the cash facilities in school cease to operate.

School Meals

From 1 September 2019, the price of our ‘meal of the day’ will increase to £2.30 with a further increase from 1 September 2020 to £2.55.
