Learning Environment

Outwood Academy Danum is a 11-18 school. The building has been recently upgraded, with £500,000 spent to improve the accommodation. There are new toilets and PE changing facilities, redecorated communal areas and refurbished and redecorated classrooms. There is a dedicated Student Information Desk Reception.

There are 13 specialist IT rooms with recently updated PCs, excellent music, science and technology facilities. Post 16 students have a large dedicated area to work in, also with recently upgraded PCs. Each classroom has its own interactive whiteboard and modern seating. There is a Main Hall for all school productions with seating for 270.

The Academy Learning Resource Centre is a hub of the academy and is a well-stocked facility for students to loan books and also a teaching space with computer access.

Our sporting facilities include the sports hall, gym, tennis courts and excellent large open sports fields.

Food is cooked on site and is available from the Academy dining hall which offers fresh cooked meals, jacket potatoes, warm baguettes and panini’s, freshly made salads, pasta, and wraps.
